Stitches - total 1027, including alphabets, utility and buttonholes. Features 28 Quilting stitches and 2782 decorative stitches.  All adjustable via width and length. Max width 5.5mm, mac stitch length 6 mm.
 
Full colour touch screen - displays all stitches, making it easier to select and more intuitive to use. Any adjustments to the stitches are shown in real time.
 
Rotation dials for width and length adjustment, can be changed whilst sewing.
 
Sewing consultant - advises for best needle and settings for the fabric used. User friendly built in tutorials offer onscreen support.
 
Built in tutorials - trouble shooting and FAQ's are available at a touch of a button. From putting the bobbin in to creating buttonholes. Select the topic and the screen will display an explanation and in some instance a video.
 
Length of free arm - gives an inside space of 7" to the right of the needle.
 
Built in memory - create names and stitch combinations to personalise sewing projects.
 
Personal memory - (permanent and temporary) - default settings for stitches can be altered to a preferred settings and saved permanently until removed. Adjustments are saved even when the machine is switched off. Adjustments to stitch length, width and needle positions are temporary saved as you switch between different stitches.
 
Adaptive thread tension - ensures optimal thread tension during sewing and embroidery and helps achieve a perfect stitch quality. After manually adjusting (if required), the thread tension to the thread and fabric, the adaptive thread tension constantly checks the thread tension as it sews, adjusting it unobtrusively and automatically whenever necessary.
 
Freehand system - raise and lower the presser foot without taking hands of the fabric using the included knee lift.
 
Jumbo bobbin - larger bobbin that has 70 % more capacity.
 
Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) - ENABLED - sophisticated sensor technology that monitors the speed at which the fabric moves and regulates the length of the stitches to acheive a consistent stitch length when free motioning. NB. Please Note - Requires the BSR foot - not included with this model.
