This needle is designed with a small slot on the side of the eye. Take the thread and loop it around the needle. Slide the thread down the right hand side of the needle towards the eye until the thread goes through the slot in the eye.
NB - Not recommended for fine fabrics, thin fabrics, such as satin or silk, as the fabric can get caught in the slot and sustain damage.
NB - Front loading bobbins CB hook (oscillating), aren't compatible with a quick thread needle as the thread can slide out of the slot in the eye, due to the movement of the  hook.
