For all coverstitch owners. Our Curiour Coverhem Workshop for coverstitchers shows you how to get more from your machine.
A Coverstitch hem gives a professional finish to garments - but these machines can do so much more!
This fun and informative, 2 hour workshop will take you through step by step your coverstitch machine. Learn tips and techniques for hemming plus seaming and topstitching. Get a top quality look and feel to any project.
- Threading - Time is built in for you to practise (coverstitchers are easier to thread than overlocker)
- Tensions - When and how to adjust.
- Differential feed - What is it, when to use, how to use. Why and the effects it creates.
- Needles - Which needles do I use? - left, right or all three.
- Hemming - Get the best results on both stretch and non stretch fabrics.
- Topstitching - Using chainstitch to create interesting topstitching finish and embellishment.
- Seaming - How to sew a flat felled seam.
- Workshop notes - Covering the workshop, with space for your own notes of settings or adjustments
NB - If your machine is a combination coverstitch and overlocker, the machine must be set up as the Coverstitch before attending the workshop - if you are unsure know how to do this then we recommend a one to one lesson to show this aspect of your machine.
