Line the edge of the foot with the edge of the fabric and your needle with be stitching 1/4" away from the fabric edge giving you a perfect 1/4" seam allowance.
 
Only use straight stitch with this foot.
 
Will fit models with a front loading bobbin system (upright bobbin)
