Suitable for sewing a range of non stretch woven fabric in various thicknesses.
Suitable fabics - Silks, Chiffons, Georgettes, Cotton lawn, Cotton, Linen, Soft furnishing fabric, Chambray, Poplin, Voile, Taffeta, Satin, Calico, Cord, Felt, Wool, Viscose, Brocade.
Needle sizes reflect the thickness of fabric, the higher the needle size number the thicker the fabric.

TIP: Should the Universal needle skips stitches on the fabric, you may need to change to different needle. Some fabric such as Cotton, can be woven with a high thread count which makes the fabric surface tricky for the needle to go through. In this instance try a Microtex needle which are designed slightly differently.
