Dual purpose - threader the needle with ease.  Push the needle threader through the needle, wrap thread around the threader and pull back through needle.
 
Fabric guide - Utilise the magnets to place the threader the right distance from the edge of the needle.  Position to use the long straight edge or place it horizontal to use the round end for curves.
 
Handy ruler markings on one side and a magnifer at the other end.  When not in use, the magnets will hold the threader anywhere on the machine out the way.
