The Air Thread Janome 2000D is the newest addition to the overlocker range using air, making it one of the easiest overlockers to thread.
 
Simply insert the thread into the specially designed ports and your thread is transported through your lower loopers including the eye.

Stitch Variants -
 
4 Thread - Overlock with safety seam - stretches without breaking, perfect for sewing knit and loose fitting garments, neaten raw edges and seaming non stretch fabrics.
3 Thread - Overlock standard - Ideal on medium to heavyweight fabrics and is generally used as an edge finish.
3 Thread - Overlock narrow - commonly used on lingerie and light to medium weight fabrics. Generally used as an edge finish.
3 and 2 Thread - Rolled hem - Excellent on lightweight / medium fabrics on a single layer edge. Ideal for scarves, napkins, ruffles, can also be used to create decorative pintucks. Two thread hem is lighter and gives a finer appearanc. Ideal for chiffon and bridal veil edging.
3 Thread - Picot hem - Hem finish with a slightly scalloped appearance. Ideal for sheer and lightweight fabrics. 
3 / 2 Thread - Flatlock -  joining fleece / knit fabrics or lace to silk or lingerie. The reverse of this stitch looks like a ladder.
2 Thread - Overcast - forms an edge finish that is lightweight and flat. Often used to neaten edges of open seams.
 
Differential feed - engaged to assist the overlocking of difficult or stretchy fabrics by helping to prevent any gathering or stretching that is occurring whilst stitching.
 
Adjustable foot pressure - there are five levels of adjustment to help feed heavy or lightweight fabric. Keep on 'N' for normal stitching for medium fabric such as cotton.
 
New standard foot - this new foot has a smooth flat finish to the base with purpose built indentations. This helps to support sewing on thick fabric, multiple layers and uneven surfaces. Can also help to prevent skipped stitches or needle damage.
 
Easy access - no longer need to open the left side cover to gain access to the cutting blade adjustment dial and retractable edge dial.
 
Cutting edge dial - this controls the cutting width ensuring that stitches sit correctly on the edge of the fabrics, whether they are bulky fine or sewing round curves.
