Using the correct bobbin is essential for any brand of sewing machine. Brother bobbins are made specifically for their machines. Using non or incorrect Brother bobbins will give tension issues and / or jamming. Brother take standard needles such as Schmetz needles. Change needles regularly. Blunt needle will cause tension issues and breakages. Use the correct type of needle for fabric sewn. Eg. Stretch needles for stretchy fabric.
