Bernina S-570 QE, part of the 5 series and is a semi long arm machine. Larger space than the standard older B570QE. Now includes functions and features found on the 7 series long arm machines.

Stitches- total 1,450, including 34 utility, 16 automatic buttonholes including eyelets. Plus 450 decorative, 73 traditional quilting/patchwork, 34 cross stitches, 8 alphabets. (Each letter and number counts towards stitch total). Maximum stitch length 6 mm, maximum stitch width 9 mm.
Full colour touch screen- displays all stitches, making it easier to select and more intuitive to use. Any adjustments to the stitches are shown in real time. Rotation dials for width and length adjustment, can be changed whilst sewing.
Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR)- sophisticated sensor technology that monitors the speed at which the fabric moves and regulates the length of the stitches. For consistent stitch length when free motioning.
Dual feed- built in walking foot system that with one action simply engages into the back of the dual feed feet. A range of feet are available (optional extras) that can be used with the dual feed. A standard dual feed foot comes with the machine.
Adaptive thread tension- ensures optimal thread tension during sewing and embroidery and helps you to achieve a perfect stitch quality. After manually adjusting (if required), the thread tension to the thread and fabric, the adaptive thread tension constantly checks the thread tension as you sew, adjusting it unobtrusively and automatically whenever necessary.
On screen help- Sewing consultant advises for best needle and settings for the fabric used. Built in tutorials offer onscreen support without you having to keep looking at your manual, making it user friendly.
Semi long arm- gives an inside space of 8.5" to the right of the needle, ideal for larger projects and quilts.
Built in memory- create names and stitch combinations to personalise your sewing projects.
Favourite Stitch- save your preferred stitch length/width , stitch combinations or names in the machine ready to be opened when needed.
Jumbo bobbin- larger bobbin that has 70 % more capacity.
Automatic presser foot lift- machine will raise and lower the presser foot automatically before and after sewing. The foot can hover leaving needle in the fabric so you can keep both hands on fabric, ideal for pivoting.
Automatic thread cutter- trims the bobbin thread underneath after sewing.
