Create this beautiful cushion, it can be a scrap busting project as shown in the main picture by using 24 different fabrics random or complimentary or a division 2 , 3 or 4 fabrics and add symmetry rather than random.
It takes 24 wedge shapes sewn together to create

You will learn.
starting from cutting out, seaming in a way to reduce bulk where lots of seams merge, to stuffing and finishing with large buttons
What to Bring
-Fabric - you will need a mix of fabrics each panel needs 54cm x 10cm and you need 24 panels, if using fat quarters you can get 5 panels from 1 FQ so you would need a minimum of 5 FQ, or Jelly Roll will give you a number fabrics but you will be limited to 14" cushion

-Thread - to compliment your all fabrics

-Stuffing- bag of toy stuffing or even an old cushion.

-2 Large Buttons- 30mm and bigger

-Your Sewing Machine - Must be in operational working order. (This means the machine must be able to sew ) – if purchased second hand or given a non new machine, it is recommended that it is serviced prior to attending. Make e sure to bring foot control pedal / power lead / manual and accessories for the machine . (See T's and C's)

- Sewing machine accessories - Feet and accessories that came with your machine, 1/4 " foot is useful if you have one

- Basic sewing kit - scissors, threads, pins,

As professionals in their own right, they understand and know how to use all aspects of machines and feet.

Your Tutor - Jenny Herbert

From an early age, Jenny started sewing, which continued into school and onto college, studying a BTEC in Fashion, Design and Technology.
Over 30 years of sewing experience, 10 years of which for Janome as a demonstrator and now for all machine brands. Overlocking is a specialism and Jenny's understanding your overlocker workshop is not to be missed.
Jenny likes all aspects of dressmaking, especially finishing and embellishing using the embroidery machine, just ask her about the dragon prom dress, as well as using all her machines in combinations with other crafts.
