A Coverstitch hem gives a professional finish to garments - but these machines can do so much more!
This 2 hour workshop will take you through step by step your coverstitch machine and the tips and techniques that can be sewn
NB - If your machine is a combination coverstitch and overlocker, the machine must be set up as the Coverstitch before attending the workshop - if you are unsure know how to do this then we recommend a one to one lesson (more info) to show this aspect of your machine.

Time is built in for you to practise (coverstitcher are easier to thread than overlocker) When and how to adjust Which needles do I use? - left, right or all three What it it, when to use, how to use, why and the effects it creates Get the best results on both stretch and non stretch fabrics. Using chainstitch to create interesting topstitching. How to sew a flat felled seam Covering the workshop, with space for your own notes of settings or adjustments Must be in operational working order. (This means the machine must be able to form stitches) – if purchased second hand or given a non new machine, it is recommended that it is serviced prior to attending. Make e sure to bring foot control pedal / power lead / manual and accessories for the machine. (See T's and C's) Scissors, pins and at least 4 reels of thread You will create samples in this workshop, enabling you top refer back to over again, and attach to notes. |
