Designed with the patchwork and quilter in mind - comes as standard the 1/4" Patchwork foot.
Stitches- total 840, including 29 utility, 10 automatic buttonholes including eyelets. Includes 200 decorative, 40 traditional quilting/patchwork, 13 cross stitches, 4 alphabets. (Each letter and number counts towards stitch total). Maximum stitch 5.5 mm width, maximum stitch length 6 mm.
Full colour touch screen- displays all stitches, making it easier to select and more intuitive to use. Any adjustments to the stitches are shown in real time.
Rotation dials for width and length adjustment, can be changed whilst sewing.
Sewing consultant- advises for best needle and settings for the fabric used. Built in tutorials offer onscreen support without you having to keep looking at your manual, making it user friendly.
On screen help- unsure of what an icon or button does, simply press the question mark then the unknown icon and its description is displayed on the screen. No need to keep going to the manual.
Built in tutorials- trouble shooting and frequently asked questions are available at a touch of a button. From how to put the bobbin in to creating buttonholes, select the topic and the screen will display an explanation and in some instance a video.
Length of free arm- gives an inside space of 7" to the right of the needle.
Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR)- ENABLED - sophisticated sensor technology that monitors the speed at which the fabric moves and regulates the length of the stitches to acheive a consistent stitch length when free motioning. NB. Requires the BSR foot - not included with this model.
Freehand system- raise and lower the presser foot without taking hands of the fabric using the included knee lift.
