First in the 7 series range, now with a larger 7" screen, 5.5 mm stitch width for super accurate piecing, 1255 total stitches and can be turned into an embroidery machine with the optional extra embroidery unit.

Stitches- total 1255 including 32 utility, 15 automatic buttonholes including eyelets. Plus 300 decorative, 29 traditional quilting/patchwork, 6 alphabets, (each letter and number counts towards stitch total). Machine can sew up to a 1,000 stitches per minute.

Standard stitches, maximum stitch length 6 mm, maximum stitch width 5.5 mm.

Full colour touch screen- new large 7" screen displays all stitches, making it easier to select and more intuitive to use. Any adjustments to the stitches are shown in real time. Multi function dials for width and length adjustment, can be changed whilst sewing.

On screen help- Sewing consultant advises for best needle and settings for the fabric used. Built in tutorials offer onscreen support without you having to keep looking at your manual, making it user friendly.

Long arm- gives an inside space of 10" (25.5 cm) to the right of the needle.
Built in memory- allows you to create names and stitch combinations to personalise your sewing projects.
Personal memory (permanent and temporary) - default settings for stitches can be altered to your preferred settings and saved permanently until you remove them. Any adjustments are saved even when the machine the switched off. Adjustments to stitch length, width and needle positions are temporary saved as you switch between different stitches. These settings are only saved whilst the machine is on, once switched off stitches will return to default settings.
Adaptive thread tension- ensures optimal thread tension during sewing and embroidery and helps you to achieve a perfect stitch quality. After manually adjusting (if required), the thread tension to the thread and fabric, the adaptive thread tension constantly checks the thread tension as you sew, adjusting it unobtrusively and automatically whenever necessary.
Jumbo bobbin- larger bobbin that has 70 % more capacity.
Automatic presser foot lift- machine will raise and lower the presser foot automatically before and after sewing. The foot can hover leaving needle in the fabric so you can keep both hands on fabric, ideal for pivoting. Hover positions can be set to a preferred height.
Foot pedal- with a heel tap function to bring the needle in or out of the fabric. On the 770 this heel tap can be changed in settings to a different function.

Optional extra - BSR enabled-Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) - sophisticated sensor technology that monitors the speed at which the fabric moves and regulates the length of the stitches. For consistent stitch length when free motioning. NB - Requires BSR foot - which is an optional extra.
