A dedicated embroidery only machine offering more features and functions for embroidery lovers. Longer arm which allows for larger hoops and bigger projects. Create curved lettering effects, alter stitch density, combine alphabets with embroidery or create beautiful, endless embroidery designs - all within the machine.
The remarkable, easy to use embroidery module with the new Bernina Smart Drive Technology and especially large embroidery area, three hoops and the multiple spool holder come as standard.
Smart drive technology (SDT)- elevates the embroidery experience with enhanced stitch quality, smoother and quieter movement and up to 55% higher embroidery speed.
Extra large embroidery area- 10" to the right of the needle giving a lot of space to embroider large designs or allow for larger projects.
Designs- total 320 built in embroidery designs, with a further 18 embroidery alphabets. Additional designs can be transferred into the machine via the USB port. The 700 can handle multiple embroidery formats which include:- EXP, DST, PES, PEC, JEF, SEW, PCS, and XXX.
Can embroidery up to 1,000 stitches per minute and has a maximum embroidery area of 400 mm x 260 mm.
Adaptive thread tension- ensures optimal thread tension during sewing and embroidery and helps you to achieve a perfect stitch quality. After manually adjusting (if required), the thread tension to the thread and fabric, the adaptive thread tension constantly checks the thread tension as you sew, adjusting it unobtrusively and automatically whenever necessary.
Jumbo bobbin- larger bobbin that has 70 % more capacity.
Editing functions- change your embroidery design within the machine. Mirror image, group / ungroup, resize, combine, colour re-sequencing, undo, rotate, are just some of the ways of adjusting the embroidery design. Any adjustments to a design can be saved to the built in memory or to computer via USB stick.
Shape Designer- lets you duplicate embroidery designs and arrange then into a desired configuration such as in a circle, square or heart shape.
Pinpoint placement- provides perfect placement of embroidery onto project, no need for template. Select 2 points and match them with marks on the hooped fabric for perfect results.
Thread away mode- pulls thread down to the underside for clean embroidery results on top.
Thread up command- with a touch of a button, raise and lower the needle bringing the bobbin thread to te top of the fabric so you can secure the threads manually.
Invisible and smart secure- secure stitches become invisible as the tie off are sewn in stitch direction. Smart secure add tie on/off stitches to a design if none are preset.
Embroidery consultant- advises on correct foot, needle, thread and stabiliser according to fabric and/or embroidery technique.
Hoops- include 3 - Oval 145 mm x 255 mm, Medium 100 mm x 130 mm, Small 72 mm x 50 mm. Other larger hoops are available including Midi, Maxi, Jumbo and Mega as optional extras.
Combining designs- within editing function, bring several designs together to be stitched out in one. Create curved lettering, alter stitch density and combine decorative stitches and/or alphabets with embroidery designs.
