Strong and reliable machine with lovely amount of stitches, features and functions.
Stitches- total 221, including 20 utility, blind hem, stretch, overcasting with a great range of 91 decorative, 4 cross stitches and 12 traditional quilting stitches. There are 5 buttonholes including eyelet and 2 alphabets. (The sewing machine alphabet is 5.5 mm high, for larger letters you will need a 9 mm sewing machine or embroidery machine or sew them free motion).
Stitch number, width and length are displayed on the LCD screen, which also displays the correct foot to use for the stitch selected. Certain functions are also displayed such as mirror image.
Stitches are easily selected and automatically set themselves to the right length and width for that stitch. These can also be adjusted using the length and width buttons. Maximum width 5.5 mm, maximum length 5 mm.
Built in Memory- create names or combine stitches to personalise your sewing, create quilt or name labels.
Easy to thread- follow the arrows that guide you down to the needle and the built in needle threader.
Bernina CB hook- the classic traditional front loading bobbin system that Bernina is renowned for.

Free Hand System enabled- Raise or lower the presser foot without removing your hands from the fabric using a knee lifter. NB - The knee lifter is an optional extra and does not come with the machine.
Mirror image- flip a decorative stitch for ease of sewing or to creative decorative borders. No longer struggle to pass the bulk of your sewing project through the space to the right of the needle.
LED light- 8 of which gives a bright clear light on to the sewing area.
Extension table- comes with a slide on extension table with measurement markings in imperial and metric and marks where the centre needle position is. A small clear perspex window gives clear vision for changing or rewinding the bobbin with ease. No longer need to slide the table on and off to access the bobbin. The table has no legs it clips on around the free arm allowing the hemming of dresses and skirts easier.
