Bernina Artista 640

The 640 Artista has the direct to sewing stitch selection buttons, 11 needle postions, stop/start button for the optional embroidery or for sewing without using the foot control, speed control, needle up / needle down and with extensive built in stitches which include decorative, stretch stitches,  blind hemming, built in alphabet styles and a one step automatic button hole in various styles including keyhole.

Standard Accessories come in a stand alone box which clips to the back of the machine for transportation.

Optional extra - The unique patented BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator) which senses the movement of the fabric and automatically adjusts the sewing speed so stitches are even and constant. There is no need to touch the foot control, just press the stop/start button and full attention can be given to your freehand work. Optional extra - The embroidery unit, will attach to the 640 enabling you to start embroidery. The 640 has built in embroidery designs and fonts, but combine it with an optional extra embroidery software, then you can be designing your own embroidery including cross stitching, applique and editing and resizing existing embroidery designs.
